If you follow me on the gram (@talisaalmonte) you may already know that I participated in the Raw Artists Showcase March 28th at Brooklyn Bazaar.
I started with this concept of the Sea Goddess because as a way to stay artistically motivated, I signed up for the Sketchbook Project for 2018. One of the given themes they offered as a starting point is "Underwater" I've always loved drawing underwater creatures like an octopus or the idea of a mermaid of some sort. Since I had been sharing my sketchbook spreads on instagram, I was lucky to be contacted to join the Raw Artists community in order to showcase my artwork alongside many other creatives. Below are the sketchbook spreads, iPad art (which I sold as art prints (still a few left if interested in purchasing one feel free to contact me here), and paintings I'm created for the showcase.

I started with the idea of only doing 5 variations of the sea goddess, but then I was challenged to do 10 variations instead, which are the ones you see below. (there's also one I did as an exclusive giveaway to anyone who buys a ticket to the art show which I will reveal once the showcase passes.)
